TROY, Mich. (WXYZ) - Troy police say a local woman had a blood alcohol level that was four times the legal limit when they found her at a doughnut shop Tuesday night. Her car was in a ditch along I-75.
Workers at the Krispy Kreme on 14 Mile Road called police to report that a disorderly woman was banging on the doughnut store's delivery trucks.
Police arrived at about 11 p.m. and arrested Elizabeth Lynn Aguirre, 46, of Rochester Hills. They determined she had driven her vehicle into a ditch on northbound I-75. Aguirre then walked to the Krispy Kreme, police say.
Aguirre was described by police as "slurring her words." They say she had "bloodshot glassy eyes."
Troy police say she admitted to drinking. Next, they say she was given a field sobriety test which she failed by blowing a .32% blood alcohol level on the Breathalyzer. The legal limit is .08%.
Aguirre was then arraigned on Thursday at 52-4 District Court. She pleaded not guilty to a charge of Operating While Intoxicated – Second Offense. She is scheduled to appear before a judge Monday.
