LAKE ORION (WXYZ) - The strong winds started to die down Tuesday and DTE Energy crews are whittling down the number of customers affected by the wind storm in metro Detroit.
In Lake Orion, there were thousands early Tuesday without power and by the afternoon there were hundreds.
DTE hopes to have power restored to 95% of its affected customers by Tuesday night.
BY tomorrow they hope to have all power restored.
According to DTE Energy, power has been restored to 139,000 of the 150,000 customers impacted by the high winds that blew across southeast Michigan since Saturday.
About 11,000 customers remain without service.
