(WXYZ) - With thousands still without power, DTE Vice President of Distribution Operations Trevor Lauer tells 7 Action News that they realize people are frustrated.
They still have about 500 linemen in the field working to restore electricity as soon as possible.
Many of the delays to completely restore everyone's power have been caused by the ice on trees and power lines, according to Lauer.
While DTE continues to restore approximately 15,000 customers a day, they may not be aware of smaller outages so they encourage customers to continue to alert them by calling (800) 477-4747.
Lauer says all those who lost power as a result of last weekend's ice storm are expected to have their service restored by sometime Saturday.
