(WXYZ) - A former Bishop Foley high School teacher has been charged with having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old student.
Twenty-nine-year-old Kathryn Ronk has been charged with five counts of First Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct.
Police say Ronk engaged in multiple acts of sexual penetration with a 15-year-old student while employed as a Spanish teacher at Bishop Foley. Officer say the encounters occurred in Ronk's classroom at the school.
Police began their investigation into the case in May when the parents of the student and the President of Bishop Foley filed a complaint at the Madison Heights Police Department.
Ronk turned herself in on June 25. She has been arraigned and released on a $50,000 bond. She has been ordered to wear a GPS tether and is due back in court on July 9.
