In honor of National HIV Testing Day, Oakland County Health Division is offering free HIV tests with same-day results on Thursday, June 26th from 3-7 p.m. at DMC Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital.
The testing will be administered in the Community Education Department. It's located at 1 William Carls Drive in Commerce Township.
Health experts say there are over a million people living in the United States with HIV, and that almost one in six don’t even know that they're infected. Most new infections occur among minorities and young adults.
Those with HIV who know their status can take steps to protect others and live longer, healthier lives with early treatment and care.
