High winds knock down power lines, carport in Clawson. High wind warning issed until noon

CLAWSON, Mich. (WXYZ) - High winds are to blame for knocking down power lines onto cars and at least one home in Clawson Monday morning.

The winds also blew over a carport onto cars. It is happening near the Clawson Manor Senior Apartments. The apartments are located on 14 Mile Road, just east of Main Street.

The carport damage is located behind the high-rise apartments, and the poles and wires are down just south of the apartments on Jefferson Street.

The roads are blocked at this time.

A high wind warning has been issued for for all of metro Detroit until noon, and gusts up to 60 m.p.h. are possible this morning.
