Hundreds turn out for Cipriano vigil

Hundreds fill Catholic Central's football stadium

NOVI, Mich. (WXYZ) -

In the stands it looked like a crowd ready for a playoff game. But the parents and students gathered at Catholic Central came out Sunday night for something much different – to show their love and support for the Cipriano family.

After the prayer service the entire stadium formed a procession, walking to the statue of the Virgin Mary, where Tanner Cipriano himself was singing with his C.C. brothers.

Tanner was at his family's Farmington Hills home last Monday morning when his father Bob was beaten to death with a baseball bat. His twin brother Sal and mother were also attacked and are still in critical condition.

Tanner's brother Tucker and Tucker's friend, Mitchell Young, are accused in the deadly beating. Both are in jail awaiting their preliminary exams next month.
