Man arrested for two bank robberies in metro Detroit, confesses to third

The Farmington Hills Police Department and the FBI Oakland County Gang and Violent Crime Task Force has arrested a man in connection to two Farmington Hills bank robberies.

Deshawn Browning, 34, entered the Bank of America at 29590 Middlebelt Road on May 31 and handed the teller a note demanding money. He was handed the money and then fled the bank.

On June 20, Browning entered the Chase Bank at 26029 Middlebelt Road and handed the teller a note demanding money. After receiving the money, he left the bank.

Investigators identified and arrested him in Detroit on Tuesday. He also confessed to a third bank robbery in Southfield at the Citizens Bank on June 13.

The Oakland County Prosecutor's Office authorized a two-count arrest warrant for bank robbery.

Browning was arraigned at the 47th District Court on Sept. 20 with a bond set at $50,000 cash. A preliminary exam date has been set for Sept. 27.
