Man wanted in deadly hit and run accident

Farmington Hills police are still looking for the man wanted in a hit and run accident last weekend. The woman has died.

According to police, 22-year-old Romonia Edwards died at Beaumont Hospital in Farmington Hills on Thursday.

Police say 24-year-old Terrel Johnson was driving on eastbound Grand River Ave. north of 8 Mile around 5:20 a.m. on Saturday when he hit and ran over Edwards. They are still searching for Johnson.

On Wednesday, the Oakland County Prosecutor's Office issued a warrant for Johnson on charges of Failure to Stop at the Scene of an Accident Resulting in Serious Impairment or Death and Operating on a Suspended License.

Police still have not said whether or not Johnson intentionally hit Edwards.

He is described as a black male, weighing 150 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. he was last seen driving a red or maroon Chrysler Town and Country with a temporary plate on the back. He is known to frequent southwest Detroit.
