Oakland County International Airport open house and airshow Sunday

(WXYZ) - - This year's Oakland County International Airport open house and airshow is happening on Sunday, Aug. 24.

The open house runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with plenty of things for the family.

You can take helicopter rides for $35 and airplane rides for $25, along with exploring 50 aircraft including Warbirds.

Admission is free and parking is only $5.

There are also two experience aerobatic pilots from Dacy Air Shows. They will have spectators on the edge of their seats with gyroscopic and high-g maneuvers in the Extra 300 airplane.

Also, a local man, Mike Pelzer from Rochester Hills will parachute with the American flag while the National Anthem plays.

The pilots will be performing from 2-3 p.m.
