Police investigate possible stranger danger at Farmington apartment complex

FARMINGTON, Mich. (WXYZ) - Farmington Police are investigating a possible stranger danger at the Chatham Hills Apartment complex that happened Friday morning.

Police say around 7:15 Friday morning, a high-school age female was walking in the complex to the bus stop, when she was approached by an African-American male, believed to be 5'8" to 5'11", medium build with medium complexion and facial hair.

According to police, the man exited his vehicle and tried to start a conversation with the female, asking her to come with him. He also told her his aunt lived in the apartment complex. The female refused and continued walking to the apartment complex.

The man was last seen driving a newer sports car, possibly a dark gray 2012 Dodge Challenger R/T.

The Farmington Public Safety Department is working with the apartment complex, and the department will have extra patrols in the area.
