POLICE: Stranger asks 8-year-old child to get into car at bus stop in Farmington Hills

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. (WXYZ) - Farmington Hills Police are investigating a stranger danger incident that occurred on Friday, May 2 around 4:30 p.m. Police say it happened in the area of a school bus stop located at Cranleigh Drive and Briarwyke Drive.

According to police, a white male, described as around 6-feet tall with a skinny build, asked an eight-year-old student to get into his vehicle.

Police say the child walked away from the man and directly home.

The man is thought to be driving a white four-door vehicle.

Farmington Hills Police will be increasing patrols in the areas of schools and bus stops.
