Police search for suspect who sucker punched a Pontiac man and stole his beer

PONTIAC, Mich. (WXYZ) - The Oakland County Sheriff's Office is asking for the publics help to find a strong armed robbery and assault suspect.

Police say the incident happened on May 11 at 2:00 a.m. in front of Four Brothers Bar and Grill on Saginaw Street.

Officers say a 51-year-old Pontiac man was walking home from work and a trip to the store when he was assaulted and robbed by the suspect. 

Surveillance video shows the suspect punching the victim in the face and then the victim collapsing to the ground. While the victim recovered, officers say the surveillance video shows the suspect taking one of the victim's beers and walking back towards the bar.

As a result of the assault, the victim is still receiving treatment and may lose sight in his right eye.

The suspect is described as having a heavy build and facial hair. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a light-colored baseball cap with a darker brim, a sweatshirt, sweat pants and white tennis shoes.
