SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WXYZ) - Crews are busy repairing potholes along a stretch of Greenfield.
They're working on Greenfield south of 9 Mile Road in Southfield.
This week, Southfield Mayor Brenda Lawrence proposed closing the road because it's in such bad shape.
The Oakland County Road Commission says that wouldn't be in the best interest of drivers, residents or businesses.
Crews will be reconstructing the southbound lanes of Greenfield between 8 and 9 Mile during this year's construction season, and continue frequent repairs on the potholes until that time.
