Kyle Thomas, a Walled Lake Western senior, got quite the surprise on the morning of the first day of school.
Marching band members of the quarterback’s rival school, Walled Lake Central, blasted their fight songs in his bed room, springing him out of his sleep.
The prank was pulled off by one of 99.5 FM WYCD morning show guys - with the help of Kyle’s parents.
The joke was to get him in the wrong mindset, before he headed back to school.
Many students had heard about the successful stunt and think this could be a new trend to keep rivalries alive.
