Royal Oak Police searching for suspect in bank robbery Saturday morning

ROYAL OAK, Mich. (WXYZ) - Royal Oak police are searching for a suspect in a bank robbery Saturday morning.

It happened just after 10:30 at the Fifth-Third Bank at 29710 Woodward, just north of 12 Mile Road.

Police say the man walked up to a teller passing a note demanding money and indicated he had a gun. No weapon was seen.

An undisclosed amount of cash was taken and the suspect fled the area.

He's described as a medium-darks skinned black man, between 6'2" and 6'4", approximately 30-40 years old. He has a goatee and was wearing sunglasses, a black hat and gardening gloves.

The FBI is working with Royal Oak Police on the robbery.
