Detroit area casting call on Sunday for two roles in 'Star Wars: Episode VII'

(WXYZ) - A nationwide search is on for two people who could fill "major roles" in the next Star Wars movie. Casting representatives for 'Star Wars: Episode VII' are making a stop in metro Detroit this weekend.

Casting representatives will visit six cities nationwide. They say they are looking to fill two roles in the film.

The local open "meet and greet" will be held at the Somerset Inn on 2601 W. Big Beaver Rd. in Troy from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, November, 17.

The line will be cut off at 4 p.m. and anyone planning to go is being advised not to come dressed in costume.

Casting representatives say they are looking for:

  • A young female to play street smart, independent, athletic, natural beauty 17-18 years old. All ethnicities, multi & bi-racial. No fancy make-up or wardrobe please!
  • A young male to play athletic, smart, handsome, independent spirited 19-23 year old. (MUST be 18 to attend)

There are no fees to attend the meet and greet. Females under 18 must be accompanied by parent or guardian. Those not able to attend the meet and greet can submit themselves online at www.opencastingcall2013.com . More details are also available at that website.
