LAKE ORION, Mich. (WXYZ) - The roof of a former bar in northern Oakland County caved in Sunday night. The incident is being blamed on severe snowfall in the area.
The collapse happened around 7 p.m. Jan. 5 at the former Wagon Wheel Bar in downtown Lake Orion.
The business was closed, but according to police, the building was set to be remodeled in the next few months. Because of the collapse, the structure will now have to be torn down. Meanwhile, there is no word yet on if the owner plans on rebuilding.
The Lake Orion area was hit with more than 12 inches of snow in the last 24 hours.
No one was injured in the roof collapse.
