Third storm-related death confirmed: 68-year-old man dies pushing car out of floodwaters

OAK PARK, Mich. (WXYZ) - Oakland County officials have confirmed to 7 Action News that a man who had a heart attack in Oak Park is the third person who died as a result of metro Detroit's Monday storms.

County officials say a 68-year-old man from Warren was pushing his car through floodwaters when he suffered heart issues. They say the man had a known heart condition.

Monday night, as flooding and heavy rains came down on much of metro Detroit, a 30-year-old woman died in Warren after suffering a medical issue in her car.

Tuesday morning, a 100-year-old Warren woman was found drowned in her flooded basement.
