WATERFORD, Mich. (WXYZ) - Monday could be considered the unofficial start to summer as Waterford Oaks Waterpark opens.
The park opens at 11 a.m. Monday, and they are telling people to grab the family and come on by!
The park has a tropical wave pool complete with palm trees; the big bucket children's water playground, which features more than 30 interactive activities including a giant tipping bucket, waterfalls and sprays; and the main attraction, ragin' rapids, a group raft ride.
For the ragin' rapids, you start three stories high, and then get carried 515 feet through drops and turns, before ending in a three-foot deep splash-down pool.
The park is located at 1702 Scot Lake Road in Waterford.
