CRIME ALERT: Suspicious man on campus

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (WXYZ) - Police at the University of Michigan are warning parents to keep a close eye on children while they're playing outside.

On Sunday, around 10:30 a.m., a strange man was spotted walking around North Campus, in the area of Plymouth Road and Huron Parkway.

Police say the man was watching children who were playing in a yard on the 1500 block Of McIntyre Street.

When a neighbor approached the man, he took off.

Police tell 7 Action News the man did not attempt to touch the children or speak to them, but he was following them around for a brief time.

The man was described as a white male in his 40s with a large belly. He was about 6'1" and 250 pounds. He was also balding with brown hair on the sides. He was described as having a round face, blue eyes and a thin brown mustache.

He was wearing a white, long-sleeve t-shirt and gray sweatpants.
