A warming shelter in Ann Arbor is opening Monday and they say they’re short on supplies.

The Shelter Association says they house more than 400 people a night during the winter months.

They’re in need of blankets, volunteers, winter clothes and accessories.

"Although we receive a lot of donations from the community, there's always a need for blankets and cold-weather accessories hats gloves scarves clothes as well,” says Executive Director Daniel Kelly.

Keith Lucas has been homeless for the last month.

“I've been sleeping in parking structures and it's 20 degrees outside. There's got to be a God because I should've froze to death last night,” Lucas says.

To provide donations or to volunteer contact the shelter at 734-662-2829.
