MISSING: Authorities ask for public's help in locating 42-year-old Tonya Jackson, mom of 4

(WXYZ) - The Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in locating a missing woman who was last seen on May 3rd.

Tonya Jackson, 42, is a mother of 4. She was expected to pick up her daughter from her grandmother's home, but did not show.

"For her not to call her children ... that's beyond belief. That's why i truly believe something
has to have happened to her," says L.V. Jackson, Tonya's husband.

He hasn't heard from her since Saturday.

"She said she was going to go have drinks with her friend. That was 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon. That's the last I heard from her," he says.

Tonya said she was going to meet that friend at this Knights Inn in Romulus.
However, Tonya met a man at the hotel with whom investigators say she was having a relationship.
Investigators have talked to that man. He says he and Tonya parted ways at 7pm on Saturday.
Police say his story checks out.

"Her not answering her phone, not reporting to work. That's really throwing us for a loop," says Nikyeta Evans, Tonya's sister.

Tonya hasn't shown up for work at the Forensic Center in Ypsilanti and she never picked
up her 13 year-old daughter from her mom's house to take her to school on Monday.

Jackson is described as 5’7, 180 lbs. with brown eyes. She was driving a silver 2007 SAAB 97X, license plate
CCL7888.

If you have any information on her whereabouts, you're asked to call 734-973-7711
