PITTSFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) - Police in Pittsfield Township say they are looking for a 32-year-old man who has stalked women, taking photos up the skirts and dresses of shoppers at the Meijer store on Carpenter Road.
A Meijer employee noticed what the man was doing -- taking what police call "upskirt" photos -- on Tuesday afternoon.
The store employee confronted the man who was taking photos, but police say rather than leaving the store, the man just moved on to a different area and continued shooting pictures up the skirts of unsuspecting Meijer shoppers.
7 Action News spoke with shoppers outside the store on Thursday evening. "You would not necessarily know if someone was trying to take a picture up your dress," said one female shopper.
Police say the man resisted and avoided being tasered by an officer when they responded to the store. They say the suspect ran from the store to his vehicle in the store's parking lot.
The man's car was later found by police who say he left critical evidence behind. They now say they know who he is and are working to catch him.
Police believe the man may have taken hundreds or even thousands of photos up women's skirts.
