Robbery suspect leaves her unconscious boyfriend behind at crime scene

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (WXYZ) - Robbery suspects Frederick Coble, 49, and Christina Borcea, 48, may have thought they could make some quick and easy cash by stealing from the Speedway on N. Maple Road near Miller. But when the clerk defended himself, Ann Arbor Police say Coble wound up on the floor - out cold.

The clerk took off running to his car where he called 911.

Police say when Borcea couldn't wake her man up, she grabbed some cash from the register and took off, leaving Coble unconscious on the floor of the Speedway.

Coble woke up before cops arrived, but he and Borcea were arrested just a few days later.

7 Action News has learned that Coble has prior convictions for armed robbery and drugs. And since 2012, Coble had been listed as a parole absconder.

Coble and Borcea are each being held on $250,000 cash bond.
