YPSILANTI, Mich. (WXYZ) - Ypsilanti Police have released photos of a man who is suspected in the attempted abduction of a 14-year-old girl.
According to the victim, she was walking home from work when a pickup truck began to slow and drive alongside her as she walked.
The suspect reportedly asked if she wanted a ride home and asked if she wanted to smoke drugs with him.
The teen told the man "no" and began walking away. That's when the suspect reportedly got out of his truck and grabbed the girl and tried to pull her toward his vehicle.
She screamed, pulled away and ran to a group of children nearby. The suspect got back in his car and left the scene, so the teen began walking home again.
The suspect then drove back up to her and started yelling.
The victim ran to her house and told her mother and police were called. Ypsilanti Police describe the man as a white male with collar-length gray hair and heavy facial features.
