DEARBORN, Mich (WXYZ) - Eight small poodle mixes have been abandoned in Dearborn and both Animal Shelter workers and police want to know who is doing it and why.
The latest came on April 14. Workers named the dog "Angel" because they feel a guardian angel was watching over her.
She was found by a man who walked by the box she was left in. The box was filled with urine and feces and it was place against a dumpster.
The man called police.
Angel had to be shaved because her fur was so matted. She is a little timid around men but otherwise she has bounced back and will be ready for adoption soon.
The other 7 dogs that have been found have already been adopted.
All of these dogs have been abandoned in the area of Michigan Avenue and Schaefer.
Police are asking anyone for help from anyone who may have information about the case. They say whoever is dumping the dogs could face charges.
