TAYLOR, Mich. (WXYZ-TV) - Chelsea Small's family is desperate to find her killer. Her mother wept as police announced the reward for information leading to an arrest increased by $10,000.
Advance America Cash Advance, where the single mother worked, has increased its offer. It will now pay $35,000 for a tip that leads to a conviction.
Small, 30, was shot and killed in November while at work. Police released surveillance video shortly after her death. It showed a white man between the ages of 35 and 40 with short, stocky build and bushy hair. Investigators believe he is the lone gunman.
"I miss her smile," remembered Debi Kamin, Small's mother. "She's my sidekick, and I'm a little lost without her ."
The total reward, with help from Crime Stoppers, is now at $37,500. Anyone with information can call Taylor police or leave an anonymous tip by calling 1-800-SPEAKUP.
