It's senior day for many students as high school football wraps up the regular season tonight, and in Belleville, some students held a Black Lives Matter protest.

The person who organized the protest is 17-year-old DaQuann Harrison, and he's gathered students from across Washtenaw County to hold a silent protest at the football games.

The main way they did it was by sitting during the National Anthem and wearing Black Lives Matter shirts.

There are some folks who aren't too happy about this, including one woman who approached 7 Action News Reporter Gino Vicci and said it's a shame that Belleville Schools is letting this happen.

The district said it didn't let anything happen, as the students have a right to protest and they even made it known well in advance.
