GROSSE POINTE PARK, Mich. (WXYZ) - The arraignment for Bob Bashara in the murder-for-hire case has been adjourned until August 7.
The Grosse Pointe Park man was expected to be arraigned in Wayne County Circuit Court Tuesday where he will stand trial.
Bashara was bound over last week after prosecutors played muffled tape recordings of him allegedly plotting a hit on his former handyman Joe Gentz.
Gentz is behind bars, charged with murdering Bashara's wife but Gentz reportedly claims Bashara forced him to strangle her at gunpoint. Bashara has been a person of interest in Jane's murder.
Meanwhile, Bashara's attorney David Griem filed a motion to be removed from the Jane Bashara murder case in 36th District Court citing "There has been an irreparable breakdown in the attorney/client relationship as a result of which the undersigned move to withdraw as counsel."
Judge Kenneth King denied Griem's motion ruling that he did not have sufficient reason to be removed from the case.
