Bomb Squad clears Highland Park home of high-powered gun cache after bomb scare

HIGHLAND PARK (WXYZ) - Authorities say the Michigan State Police Bomb Squad was called in to remove a cache of guns from a Highland Park home overnight.

The home near Woodward and McNichols was thought to be booby-trapped.

Police left with some high powered guns but they say the home was not wired nor did it pose any other threats.

The bomb squad was at the home for about an hour Thursday morning.
