DEARBORN, Mich. (WXYZ) - Dearborn Police are investigating an accident that claimed the life of a 42-year-old woman.
The accident happened shortly before 8:00 a.m. Wednesday.
Officers say the woman was attempting to cross Outer Drive in a green Mustang when she was hit by a white Buick Rendezvous.
The SUV was driven by a 35-year-old man who was heading southeast on Outer Drive.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her 12-year-old daughter was also in the car.
She was taken to Oakwood Hospital with visible but non-life threatening injuries. She has since been taken to Children's Hospital in Detroit.
Police say it appears as if neither drugs nor alcohol were involved in the accident.
