GROSSE POINTE PARK, Mich (WXYZ) - The home that belonged to Bob and Jane Bashara is now listed for sale.
As you can see in this
listing, the 2,800-square-foot home is available for $415,000.
That is more than the assessed value according to property records.
The listing is a new development in a story that tragically tore apart a family, rocked Grosse Pointe Park, and made national headlines.
Jane Bashara was found strangled in the trunk of her Mercedes in Detroit more than a year ago. About a week after her death police started calling her husband a person of interest.
Then Joe Gentz came forward. He admitted to killing Jane Bashara in the garage of her home. He told police Bob Bashara paid him to do it.
Gentz is serving an up to 28 year murder sentence.
Bashara has never been charged with his wife's murder, but is also in prison.
He admitted to trying to hire a hit man to kill Joe Gentz inside the Wayne County Jail.
Sources tell 7 Action News police continue to meet with the Wayne County Prosecutor's office to discuss the possibility of charging Bashara with his wife's murder, but it has not yet happened.
