WESTLAND, Mich. (WXYZ) - Details of what exactly happened to a patient at the Four Season Nursing Center are being kept quiet by Westland Police and state inspectors from the Bureau of Health Care Services.
Detectives returned to the nursing center Tuesday to conduct more interviews into allegations that the patient in her 50's was sexually assaulted by a male employee.
The male suspect, who we're told is in his 60's, was arrested on Monday. It's unclear if he is still behind bars or has been released pending the outcome of the investigation.
The Bureau of Health Care Services oversees the health and safety of patients in nursing homes across the state, and the bureau operates within the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs. When 7 Action News asked for details surrounding the case, the following statement was released.
"We are unable to comment at this time due to there being an open and ongoing investigation," Mario Morrow, Director of Communications, MI Dept. Of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs.
