DEARBORN, Mich. (WXYZ) - Dearborn Police believe they have recovered the body of a 27-year-old University of Michigan student who has been missing since going into the Rouge River last week.
The man's body was found in the Rouge River, not far from campus.
Police say his next of kin has been notified and they have asked that his name not be released at this time.
The man and a woman went into the Rouge River on May 13. The woman, a 23-year-old from Dearborn Heights, was able to get out of the River on her own.
She was taken to the hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Both the man and the woman were students at the University.
