Melvindale police are searching for the gunman who killed 44-year-old Sean Key inside a popular arcade Saturday night.

Police tell 7 Action News the suspect's name is Lamar Carter.

According to police, Carter got into an argument with the victim during a party. Carter left, came back with a gun, and shot Key.

The crime happened while there were children inside the entertainment center.

“Parents diving under tables with their grandbabies and their children,” Sharon Menard said. “I’m an older person so I can’t fathom that kind of thing to happen for little ones.”

No one else was hurt.

The Melvindale Police Department posted a message on Facebook saying,  “Surveillance video shows patrons with their phones out taking their own video. Detectives would like to view all available video.”

7 Action News was told the owners of the arcade are out of town and have no comment.
