HAMTRAMCK, Mich. (WXYZ) - Hamtramck's Police Chief is taking aim at a problem nightclub as new information surfaces regarding a triple shooting earlier in the summer.
It all happens just outside the Club Aces and the triple shooting was the breaking point for Hamtramck Police.
People living near the club are upset too, and the people running it aren't good neighbors.
During the triple shooting, two patrons were injured, and so was a security guard. It also prompted an investigation.
Now, the chief sent a letter to the Michigan Liquor Control Commission, hoping they'll revoke the club's liquor license.
In that letter, new details are revealed in the triple shooting. Including the fact that a security guard opened fire into a group of patrons. Also, police say staff members lied to investigators, and tried to destroy evidence.
Now neighbors have a chance to voice their concerns at a public hearing on the club's future. That will take place Monday at city hall.
