TAYLOR, Mich. (WXYZ) - Taylor Police closed the White Rhino bar at the corner of Goddard and Pardee Roads over the weekend after escalating violence.
According to the Taylor Police Facebook page, Police made several arrests, towed multiple cars and suspected drug proceeds were seized from patrons.
Police also say the location was found to be in violation of numerous fire codes and the bar failed to obtain proper certification from the building department to be open for business. They didn't have an occupancy permit as well as no building inspection before the bar opened.
Mayor Rick Sollars and Police Chief Mary Sclabassi were also on scene Sunday morning to help put the "Closed until further notice by order of Taylor Police" sign on the door.
