DEARBORN, Mich. (WXYZ) - A weekend of food, fun and culture ended on a sour note after a fight broke out at the Arab International Festival in Dearborn.
The fight broke out between a Christian, who was there to protest Islam and some festival goers.
Authorities say they were trying to stop a riot but one protestor says the police were trying to stop free speech.
A camera phone recorded violence breaking out at the festival where protestors from around the country used a free family event, celebrating culture, to protest Islam.

Dearborn Police arrested a man they say started the riot, one of the ‘Bible Believers' protestors. But the organizers of the protestors say police arrested the wrong man, saying it was another who started the violence by punching members of their group.
"And they [police] arrest one of our guys, I don't know if they know what they're doing," said Ruben Israel, protestor organizer.
Many people at the festival feel that this group of protestors is focused on free speech but instead, sticking up for hatred.
