ROMULUS, Mich. (WXYZ) - Romulus Mayor Alan Lambert may be facing legal problems in the wake of a Michigan State Police raid on this home, but now he's also facing political challenges.
That's because at lease three people say they will run from the mayor's office during the next round of elections.
Their announcements come as the Romulus City Council has already passed a measure requesting that Lambert resign.
Lambert's home was raided by MSP officers last month in what is being called an ongoing public corruption investigation. However, officials say it is not related to the investigation that led to charges to members of Romulus Police Department.
