The Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of a retired General Motors worker who was found stabbed in his own apartment in Ypsilanti Township on Wednesday.

He is 67-year-old David Sloss.

Officials say he lived alone and was found by a neighbor. The Sheriff is confirming that he had several stab wounds, but the motive is still not known and no one has been arrested.

The Sheriff says he has no local family. Relatives live in California.
