(WXYZ) - It's that time of year again!
Starting Friday, Salvation Army bell ringers will be placed at 450 locations across Metro-Detroit, collecting donations for families in need.
Officials at The Salvation Army of Metro Detroit hope this years campaign will bring in as much as $8.5 million.
The organization is looking for volunteer bell ringers to be placed throughout Wayne, Oakland and Macomb Counties.

On Thursday, campaign organizers installed the World's Tallest Kettle at Campus Martius in Downtown Detroit as part of the event kick-off.
