A serial drunk driver charged with second degree murder in a July crash has waived his right to a preliminary hearing.

His case will now go to trial.

Police say Charles Cahill Jr. was drunk when he slammed into the back of a mini-van last month in Sumpter Township -- leaving Victoria Mack critically hurt. The 12-year-old girl later died from her injuries.

According to police, Cahill has been convicted of drunk driving a dozen times prior to this incident.
