Several metro Detroit beaches closed due to high bacteria this weekend

If you're thinking about hitting the beach for the upcoming beautiful weekend, you may want to check where you're going.

Several metro Detroit beaches are closed due to high bacteria levels. It's not clear when they will open.

The beaches include:

  • Scotch Lake - Oakland County
  • St. Clair Shores Memorial Park Beach - Macomb County
  • Forestville Beach - Sanilac County
  • Lake St. Clair Metropark Beach - Macomb County
  • New Baltimore Park Beach - Macomb County

Many other beaches in Michigan are also closed, so be aware if you're heading up north. To check the entire list, click here
