OAKLAND (WXYZ) - Oakland University has issued a campus safety alert after a woman was reportedly sexually assaulted after a concert at Meadowbrook Music Hall.
Three men allegedly approached and inappropriately touched a woman on Tuesday at about 11:50 p.m. in a grassy area near Beacon Hill Apartments on Walton Boulevard..
The Auburn Hills Police Department said a 29-year-old woman was leaving the concert when she came upon three men and asked if she could borrow a phone so she could call for a ride home. That is when the men allegedly sexually assaulted her by forcefully grabbing her until she screamed for help. Following contact with the victim, all three men took off.
Police said the victim described the men to all be around the ages of 20-21. Two were reportedly on bicycles, the other was on foot.
The Auburn Hills Police Department released the following descriptions:
- White, male, 20-21 years old, 5'8" to 5'9" tall, medium length dark hair, wearing a white t-shirt with an unknown pattern on it.
- White, male, 20-21 years old, 5'5" tall, medium length dark hair, wearing a white t-shirt with unknown graphic on it.
- White, male, 20-21 years old, 5'5" tall, medium length dark hair, wearing a maroon or brown shirt.
The Oakland University Police Department reminds the campus community on Oakland University's website to never walk alone, constantly be vigilant of their surroundings and to report any suspicious or threatening activity as quickly as possible.
