Sistine Chapel Choir to hold first-ever performance in Detroit

The Sistine Chapel Choir is performing in the Motor City this weekend.

It's one of three cities The Pope's Choir will visit during its three-city tour in the United States.

The group will perform a private concert at Ste. Anne de Detroit Parish on Friday, Sept. 22. 

A live broadcast of the performance will be shown at Cobo Square which is open to the public at no cost.

Then on Saturday, Sept. 23 The Sistine Chapel Choir will perform at the Detroit Opera House.

Cappella Musicale Pontificia Sistina is the oldest choir in the world and the pope's personal choir.
