(WXYZ) - At General Motor's Global Powertrain Engineering headquarters in Pontiac-- the company is about to put out the "Help Wanted" signs.
Officials with the automaker are keeping quiet, but Action News has learned GM will announce they are adding 300 new jobs at the facility.
The company won't say exactly what kind of positions will be open, but the facility already employs 3,500 employees who help develop and test the automaker's propulsion technology.
At the facility, engineers are developing and testing things like engines, transmissions and hybrid technology.
Certainly good news for GM and Pontiac – a city that has seen deep declines in employment and tax revenue.
GM is expected to hold a press conference on Wednesday.
