(WXYZ) - Like many communities across southeast Michigan, Southfield has a major pothole problem.
Tonight, city council will be asked to approve the purchase of additional patching material to battle the issue on the roads.
Southfield's pot hole problem was one of the subjects Mayor Brenda Lawrence focused on in her State of the City Address.
Elected officials have been answering a lot of questions about what they're doing to fix the roads.
Evergreen Road will be completely rebuilt in between 8 and 9 Mile road and from 10 Mile to the 696 expressway.
Construction is expected to begin in May.
