Police: Gas stations targeted by armed robbers

DETROIT (AP) - Detroit police say gas stations are being targeted by armed robbers.

Police say a two people walked into gas station about 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, including one armed with a high-powered weapon who demanded cash.

They escaped with money. A 34-year-old employee wasn't injured.

About 20 minutes earlier, police say a person demanded to be let into a locked gas station. Police say that person left before anything happened.

Police are seeking tips from the public in the cases. Other armed robberies of Detroit gas stations have been reported in recent months.
