Tuesday's storms hammer Taylor, damage reported in parts of the city

(WXYZ) - Pictures of storm damage from Taylor streamed into the newsroom after severe storms passed through metro Detroit on Tuesday.

Much of the area is still trying to recover after storms last week caused massive flooding in much of metro Detroit.

WXYZ Meteorologist Chris Edwards says Taylor was the hardest hit in the area on Tuesday with winds clocked at 50 to 60 miles per hour.

The wind walloped a six block area just south and west of I-94 and the Southfield Freeway.
